Steak Sandwiches
with provolone cheese

These steak sandwiches are ridiculously tasty. You really ought to try them at least once! This recipe makes 3 sandwiches. The measurements should be taken as approximations - use more or less of any ingredient(s) as per your tastes. We prefer New York Strip because we prefer not to wear our jaws out chewing on tough meat, but you can certainly experiment with other cuts. But make sure to get fresh sandwich buns from your local bakery - that makes a huge difference! Serve with fruit or vegetables or french fries or potato chips or roasted peanuts or ... you get the idea - whatever you want, really.

Slice the buns lengthwise, then use a basting brush to spread olive oil on the inside. It's especially important to get the oil on the outer edges. This will help the buns crisp nicely in the next step.
